Peacefully, at Grace Hospital after a brief illness, Iris passed away at the age of 96 years.
Beloved mother of son Gordon, Iris was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2019. They shared 67 wonderful years of marriage.
She leaves to mourn her sister Lois of Ontario; her brother Don (Lois), of Rocanville, Saskatchewan, where she was born and raised; and a large extended family of nieces and nephews across the country; many of whom considered her the Matriarch of the family.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Iris’ memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Grace Hospital Foundation. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital for the compassionate care and dignity shown to Mom during her final days.
